The topic is Fun with Backgrounds, presented by Judy Rasys.

Baby wipes, baby oil, cosmetic sponges/pads, Q-tips??  Is this a parenting class or a class on using makeup?  It’s neither, as Judy will be using these items to create some interesting backgrounds for your calligraphy.  She will talk about why she has been looking for different ways to do this and show you some examples.  She will also demo a few of her processes that you can follow along with and try yourself.  We hope you can attend and look forward to not just Judy’s ideas, but if you have some of your own, you can share online also, after her presentation! 

RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES:

If you plan to follow along with Judy:

·      Baby wipes, cosmetic sponges or small round cotton pads, Q-tips, small water mister, disposable gloves, paper of any kind including water color, ink (liquid acrylic that is fluid or uses a dropper, or re-inkers if you have them, plastic stencil, Gelatos (if you have them), pastel chalks, x-acto knife

If you plan on just watching, Judy will be using:

·      Acetate sheets 

·      Rubber stamps

·      Versamark ink pad

·      A few colored pencils (if we have time)

·      Baby oil

·      Tombow markers (if we have time)
