Leah will outline her Stick To It method, to help calligraphers with scheduling their client projects. As a business owner, you should have a clear plan for scheduling client work appropriately. This way, you don't overbook yourself, but you also know when you need to ramp up marketing efforts to ensure you're booked as fully as you want to be. This workshop will assist you in making sure you can:
map out your complete client workload in one place, so you can tell right away if you’re available or booked as new inquiries come in
fill in your admin work and other priorities, so you never have to feel like you’re sacrificing the important work ON your business as you’re knee-deep IN it
learn how to schedule the appropriate amount of work per day, so you can maintain flexibility for every day being different — ahem, what you wanted when you started this business
integrate this calendar into your existing workflow seamlessly, so you don’t feel bogged down by trying to keep track of *another* thing in your process
Supply list: Nothing to attend. If you want to implement the Stick To It method, the list is:
An wall calendar, approximately 12 x 15", with the squares as big as possible
Mini Post-It notes, in multiple colors (3+)
Sharpie marker
Pencil
Daily/Weekly planner of choice, ideally with hourly agenda daily
About instructor Leah Sachs: For many years, Leah worked at a venture capital firm, as the CEO’s executive assistant. Although her time spent scheduling someone else’s days for a living ended in 2016 when she went full-time with her calligraphy and invitations business, she's still been scheduling everything since then to keep the business operating smoothly. After an entire lifetime of being a planner nerd, many years working with a high profile calendar, and many more since then with her own project calendar, scheduling feels like a second skin to Leah. She's on the board of directors with MAC and feels so lucky to have made calligraphy, something she loves, her job!
