WELCOMING SUMMER with WEATHERGRAMS

Judith Cattran will teach WELCOMING SUMMER with WEATHERGRAMS! The summer solstice arrives on June 20, and we can honor it using this unique method created years ago by Portland calligrapher Lloyd Reynolds.

One can just watch and learn about weathergrams or (with the following simple supplies) make your own:

Supplies

• Brown kraft paper (OR a paper grocery bag)

• Scissors and ruler

• Your favorite lettering supplies (permanent inks are best, but whatever you have)

Also, to complete your weathergram:

• A one-hole punch

• Twine or string
  

Judith usually gets together with a friend to make these for each season’s annual arrival!
